Babies and umm…WordPress, hello?

So today in the car Will delivers a deep sigh and asks, “Mom, can we PLEASE have some more babies in our family? We only have one baby in our family!” (Guess that would be Henry.)

Me: “How many, Will?”

Will: “I think 100.”

Me: “But how would we take care of 100 babies?”

Will: “We would make our house bigger and we would have people come over and take care of them. And take them home.”

Me: “100 might be too many for one family. How many would you really like?”

Will: “How about five? Because we only have one. And I want to hold more babies.”

And before you go all googoo about THAT conversation, fast forward thirty minutes.

We’re all sitting on the couch, and Henry is crying because I took some electrical wires away from him before he chomped down on them.

Will: “Mom, I really want to be by myself right now.”

Me: “Don’t you want to be with your brother? He’s the only baby we have, so you should enjoy his company.”

Will: “I didn’t ask for a CRYING baby!”

And with that I tried to post something for Best Shot Monday, and since I have been working on a big photo organizing project and haven’t been taking any photos this week, I tried to post a newborn photo of baby Will.

BUT no photo here, right? Okay, I know I’ve been a slacker for a few days, but WHOA, WordPress users, what happened? I log in after a few days and I CAN’T EVEN FIGURE OUT HOW TO UPLOAD A PHOTO.

THAT IS A BIT OF A PROBLEM FOR ME.

This new interface is pretty and all, but has been seriously buggy just in the time it took me to post this.

For more Best Shot Monday, head over to Tracey’s. I’m sure SOME WordPress users were smart enough to figure the whole photo thing out.

That’s so sweet that he wants another baby. Too bad you can’t place an order for a cute, no-crying baby…

hah! you should send him up to Amily’s for a while and see how he feels about 3 babies, never mind 100!

I wish I could tell you more about WordPress, but I didn’t change anything on my end. (I have my own domain and just use one of the versions to edit/post.) I think they sent out a FAQ about the changes…do you want me to find it? I’d be happy to send you the link…email me and let me know. 🙂

WHAT happened?? I opened up WordPress and it took me forever too!
I think I did figure it out though – if you need help, let me know – I agree we need photos!

Although baby stories are a close 2nd! And that was a great story! 🙂

What a cute story–kids amaze me with their little observations/requests!

I suppose if there can’t be a photo, that story is a pretty cute alternative. But still. I hope you figure out WordPress soon.

    More babies!

I LOVE that story. I’m sending it to my mom & my sister.
I don’t like the new look of WordPress. BUT – I figured out how to post a photo. While writing, there is a little tool bar at the top of the box that says something like ‘add image/media/…” something. Then you can upload the photos from there. Don’t hit the button that says to insert the whole gallery or all of your photos will pop up in one post. That happened to me yesterday.

Love that story, too! It’s kinda the same way with our kids and puppies. They don’t want a puppy that licks or barks or jumps on them, but they LOVE PUPPIES. Uh, okay.

I’m sorry I can’t help you out there. I host my own WordPress site, so I have to upgrade it myself (huge PITA!). I haven’t taken the time to do that yet. Hope you figure it out!

I normally link photos from Flickr, but I use an external FTP program to upload video and audio clips – can you do that with sites hosted by WordPress?

I’m so annoyed at wordpress right now but I did figure out the photos. Let me know if you still need help!

All you have to do is figure out how to have genetically mute babies and Will will be perfectly happy, right?

You may need to update Adobe Flash… I wasn’t able to upload any images due to outdated Adobe.

How cute is this post? I can’t wait to hear what Henry has to say about big brother someday. Thanks so much for sharing.

Now can you help me with my pet problems at home? Good thing I don’t have kids, since dealing with my pet behavioral problems is becoming a challenge…

    😉

I just love Will’s love of babies. What a sweet kid. I remember my brother as a little kid, planning to have 100 babies one day; they’d all have their own motorcycles and thier own teepees, and that’d be that. Ha!
Usually I regret chosing Blogger when I started blogging last year…but with all the complaints I’ve heard about WordPress’ new format, for once I’m proud to be in that camp!
