Engagement sessions are a terrific way for us to get to know each other, for you two to get a little practice having a camera focused on you and most importantly, for you to have some wonderful, personal and heartfelt images of this exceptionally joyful time in your lives together.

On your wedding day, the most important part of the day is the fact that you are getting married. Because of that, even though you might be planning carefully with us, wedding day photos are rarely taken at the perfect time, in the perfect light with the perfect amount of time allowed.

The engagement session, on the other hand, is all about the session itself. Engagement photos document this fresh, beautiful time when you are newly engaged. This is the beginning of your family, these are the first family portraits you will take, and you get to choose how you will look to your children and grandchildren when they go through your book of engagement photos. Can you imagine how lucky we would be to see a book like this of our grandparents’ engagement?

Most of my clients opt to do their sessions in the Stonington/Mystic/Watch Hill area, to take advantage of our beautiful beaches and classic New England villages. However,  I’ve also traveled to Maine, Block Island, Nantucket, NYC, Washington, DC, Boston and South Carolina for engagement sessions, and I’m happy to come your way, too.
