Congratulations, Heather Somers!

Congratulations to Groton’s own Heather Somers, who won a tight race in Tuesday’s Republican primary for Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut. I enjoyed taking photos of Heather and her beautiful family at UCONN Avery Point earlier this year, as she prepared to launch a website supporting her campaign.

Heather is the former mayor of Groton, and ran successfully in Tuesday’s primary as the “Hartford outsider”–she and gubenatorial candiatate Tom Foley will challenge Democratic incumbent Gov. Dannel Malloy in this November’s election.
