Steph + Ben: married on a mountain!

The simply gorgeous Mrs. Kriete. For all you photographers out there, I want you to know I did NOTHING to enhance her amazing eyes. She was born with those peepers!

For all the times Steph has been my right-hand and partner-in-crime for a wedding, and I’ve been posting her gorgeous images here on this page, it is extra fun to post my images from HER beautiful wedding to her love, Ben.

Steph, at the Hotel Northampton.

On Saturday, the two of them created a feast for the senses with a glorious wedding filled with beauty and creativity, but on a misty mountaintop in Massachusetts, all of us were reminded that it all comes down to something so simple–two people deeply in love, surrounded by those who know and love them most.

First look on a mountaintop.

A sweet and teary moment.

With rain most of the night before the wedding and all morning, we prepared for weather at its wettest.  But 30 minutes before we arrived,  the rain had stopped, and a beautiful mist unfurled itself across the valley while we stood on the mountaintop.

You may have detected an orange/fall color theme. Banner hand-made by Steph.

A teary bride and a choked up groom exchanged tender, heartfelt vows, and then, all smiles, walked hand in hand down the aisle to bagpipe music–fitting for the misty blue and green valleys rolled out below.

After a record 35 minutes for family, wedding party and couple portraits including four locations (don’t try this at home, folks–unless your clients are both photographers who scouted the locations in advance and know how to pay attention to fading light!), we arrived at the famed Blue Heron Restaurant (home of  Sue Sylvester, a.k.a. Jane Lynch’s, wedding celebration last year), where they danced, they dined, they were toasted and the room seemed to envelop them in a giant hug.

Cupcakes! Homemade by the moms.

My second shooter.

First dance to “Stand By Me.”

Conga line!

Baby due, well, now! Baby decided to go to a wedding instead.

It was a true delight and honor to witness your day, Steph and Ben. I’m so happy to have you as family as well as friends. A few to share here, and more online here!

Enjoy your mini-moon, and happy love to you both!

xoxo,  Anna
