Thanksgiving dessert and a wedding

Well, I wasn’t even in the same contest with the people that did take top honors in the Make the Mammoth Men Laugh contest. I almost fell OFF MY CHAIR when I saw the Mammoth Men in leotards—my naked beach boys had nothing on that.

Still not sure what we’re making for Thanksgiving dessert, can I just have one of each of your suggestions so I can decide? Thank you. If you volunteered a recipe, the answer is, of course, YES I WANT IT.

Actually getting down to personal photos after all the OPK photos. I just sorted through a few snaps I took at a gorgeous fall wedding of two friends more than a month ago, aren’t they a beautiful couple? And fun, too. It was a great party, filled with emotion.

A great non-traditional Turkey Day Dessert – super easy to make and it will be a hit! My boys refer to it as “Caterpillar Cake” or “Zebra Cake.” Get those thin, chocolate wafer cookies (they come in a yellow box) – in the cookie aisle. Get a container of whipped cream (fresh is best) and whip a dash of vanilla into it. Spread the cream between the cookies and then all over the top of the cookies and make a big long “caterpillar” like roll. Put it in the fridge. The next day (or a few hours later after the cookies get soft) slice it on the an angle to get the “zebra” stripes on the inside. SOOOO GOOOD! And in case this made NO sense whatsoever, the recipe is on the box of the cookies 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving!
