The Sea Glass Stoop

Photographer Stacy hosts a little photo challenge each week, called Theme Thursday. This week’s theme is Summer Fun, and while I am rarely organized enough to match up the images on my camera with the right theme each week, I love seeing all the creative interpretations on the themes each week.

This week, since I think I could throw a rock at my external hard drive and hit a photo of summer fun, I had to participate.

Here’s a peek at the Sea Glass Stoop, executed perfectly by Will, a self-proclaimed sea glass machine, who spent about an hour with his brother, dad and grownup friend Tyler on the beach in this heavenly corner of Maine, looking for sea creatures and sea glass. They were successful.

Henry didn’t get what all the fuss was about (these were TEENY pieces of sea glass on this part of the Atlantic coast) but he gave it his best copycat approach.

Monkey see, monkey do!

Hope you’ve got lots of summer fun going on! For LOTS more of it, head over to Stacy’s today.

The first B&W is brilliant – the way the boy is looking intently, and the patterns of the pebbles, just great.

Great pictures. The copying is amazing, isn’t it? Dante does the same thing, following Gabe’s every step, gesture, etc. Right now Gabe thinks it’s funny – I’m just waiting for him to start getting really annoyed by it…..

Aw, I have a similar one today, too. But not with sea glass. I love how in the last two pics they are posed almost exactly the same.

Beautiful shots. I love the first one. My kids copy each other all the time too. Did they manage to find anything good? I love seaglass.

Very cute, I like the monkey see monkey do. My little one likes to copy his older brother and sister too. ๐Ÿ™‚ Sea glass is fun to find, but you have to have a good eye and patience. What a fun place to be.

I’m going to ‘copy’ Tanya and tell you how much I love the bright colors against the duller beach colors. Is it weird to have someone else’s kids as my computer’s wallpaper?

Yep, he’s a master of the stoop alright! My fav part is Will’s hands clasped behind his back in #2. Sigh, I wish there were beaches near us.

How cute, monkey see – monkey do! I would love the venture to the seashore in Maine. Yes, I have a beach near by, but the Pacific has a completely different feel from the East coast. East coast shores are what stories are written after.

Tried your “getting cheeky” suggestion – didn’t get the same results! See what happened on my WW!
