Jayne + Matt: A Tappan Hill Wedding

Oh, this one! Some twenty something years ago, I had the privilege of babysitting sweet Drew and his baby sister, Jayne. I remember many summer days playing, splashing and reading with these two, before college and then the so-called grownup life took over. I loved my babysitting jobs, for Drew and Jayne and their cousins, and could not have been happier when I was reconnected with their parents all these years later, now with weddings for these former babies on the horizon.

So with this background, it was a joy to be witness to Jayne and Matt’s wedding day, a summery day in June. Jayne got ready at her childhood home after a brief snuggle with Jayne and Matt’s extremely camera shy kitty.

Lots of oooooohs when willowy Jayne slipped into her gorgeous gown from The Plumed Serpent, and added the last touches to her wedding day finery.

The reception, held at the lovely riverside venue of Tappan Hill. showcased beautiful views and an amazing late-evening sunset. Guests enjoyed cocktails on the terrace while wedding photos commenced.

It was a glorious day, with heartfelt words and love and actions for this lovely couple, and I was beyond happy to be a part of it, and see these lovely children now as adults. Hard to put it into words how special it was for me, and I hope to stay in touch over the years.
